This 2 week residency program provides opportunities for a diverse group of artists to advance their careers and knowledge of developing new media studio technologies and practices. They support experimentation that can be instrumental in the production of an expanding and culturally significant catalogue of electronic, time-based, and new media artworks. Residents will be expected to engage with the Alfred University campus and communities which extend to Allegany County and the Western New York, Finger Lakes and Southern Tier regions of New York. This engagement is often in the form of a public lecture / artist talk, a demonstration, course-specific involvement, or another agreed-upon event.
