<big>'''Welcome to the CONCEPT NULL newsletter!'''</big>

We’re excited to welcome you to this little community we are building.
Founded in 2019, our journey began as a platform for immersive audiovisual events, evolving into a broader initiative that connects and supports Irish New Media artists through community-building and advocacy.

Concept Null is a small artist-run organisation with an aim to create a repository of all artists in Ireland who might identify part or all their practice as New Media art, and to ‘join the dots’ between all the individuals and groups in Ireland who have been working, making and establishing this area over the last few decades in Ireland.
As part of our initiative, we run a bi-monthly newsletter with the aim of highlighting events, opportunities, while collecting crucial insights for the Irish New Media Art community. In addition to this, we host meetups, which are held across Ireland to provide spaces for artists to share their work, network, and exchange ideas, with virtual access facilitated via the Digital Artist Ireland Discord.

Our mission extends to engaging with key stakeholders—artists, academics, and policymakers—to amplify and connect the voices of those working at the intersection of Art and Technology.

We release a newsletter on the 1st and 15th of every month, sign up to receive it in your inbox!

We intend for this website to be a durable, decentralised, and community-driven platform for Irish artists and cultural initiatives. Our goal is to create an open-source co-publishing tool that will archive, connect, and promote past, present, and future activities in the realm of new-media art in Ireland.
''Concept Null operates entirely on volunteered time, and community donations.'' 💖

Before the end of the year, we will be looking for beta testers to create their own profiles on conceptnull.org, allowing them to log events, add portfolios and any other content related to their arts’ practice they wish to share.

Following this testing we will be finalising V2 of the website and opening it up to everyone, hoping to connect our community more-so.

The backend of conceptnull.org functions as a wiki, making it very easy-to-use and harnessing the power of the hyperlink. [Image of wiki backend here maybe? Or the video cailean is making?]

Right now, Concept NULL is an entirely community funded organisation. Donations go towards costs related to website maintenance, newsletter-writing and meetup-hosting.

Concept Null is a grassroots organisation dedicated to establishing New Media Art as a recognised art form in Ireland. In doing so, we want to help nurture a thriving community of artists, technologists, and enthusiasts.

Founded in 2019, our journey began as a platform for immersive audiovisual events, evolving into a broader initiative that connects and supports Irish New Media artists through community-building and advocacy.

You can read more about our goals and motivation in our Constitution.
